Chipotle Pepper Taco Seasoning
Did you know that May 5th is National Chipotle Day?
The whole world over knows May 5th as Cinco De Mayo, National Chipotle Day’s, more popular family member.
A day where Mexican food is front and center, and all is right with the world.
Whichever day you choose to celebrate this year; I hope you will include this amazing taco seasoning mix.
The star of this show is chipotle chili powder. Not to be confused with the boring old chili powder. Chipotle peppers have a deep, smoky, spicy flavor. When placed in any dish, they completely steal the show.
The beauty of this mix is that it goes together in a snap and you probably already have almost all of the ingredients in your pantry, right now.
Here we go, gather together….
I do not think that buying a package of taco seasoning is going to break the bank at around $1.00 a package. However, in this case it really is about all of the preservatives, fillers, sugars, and sodium that is included in the package. By making this seasoning mix you are in charge! Like we talked about earlier, you most likely have all of these ingredients in your house right now. In less than 5 minutes you could be eating Taco’s baby.
Happy National Chipotle Day! Raise your hand if you will be celebrating. Leave a comment below letting us know what tasty dishes you will be making for National Chipotle Day or Cinco de Mayo.
