Emily’s World Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies
In my kitchen there is a bound book. It has food stains, construction paper pages, scribbles, and the recipe for probably the best Chocolate Chip Cookies that I have ever tasted.
This book was made for me by my oldest child. When she was 10, she attended a culinary summer camp. Each day the campers created a new recipe and a recipe card to go with it. The instructors then bound all the pages together and made a cookbook for the campers to remember their time at camp.
I own many, many cookbooks, but this is hands down my favorite. My favorite because it was made by my precious girl and because it holds the secret to these delicious cookies.
These amazing cookies are crispy on the outside and have a cake like inside. Add in nut’s or don’t. Add in m&m’s or don’t. No matter what you add to these cookies, they always come out amazing.
Of all the recipes made that week, these cookies were by far the family’s favorite. To this day, they remain the official cookie of the Todd family. Today I have decided that America needs these cakey, gooey, amazingly addictive chocolate chip cookies. But I warn you, eat responsibly!
