Challenge 1 – Get more sleep!!!


In today’s busy society, sleep is the one of the most compromised areas in our lives. We stay up late, either working or catching up on our favorite tv shows then get up early, fuel up of coffee and  to begin checking things off of our to-do list.

The sleep challenge is very near and dear to me because I get up at 3:30am three days a week to be at my work sight by 4:30am. This is my life. So what time do I go to bed…..well I try to be in bed by 9pm which will give me 6.5 hours of sleep. Which is great, when it happens. There are nights were I only get 4-5 hours of sleep and if you have nights like those I’m sure you know that the lack of sleep will catch up with you.

So for the next week I’d like to challenge all of us, yes I will participate to, to get at least 7 hours of sleep. Now if you are already getting at least 7 hours of sleep, awesome!!! You may know someone who needs to be encouraged to take this challenge. But if you are like me and most people now a days, this will be a challenge in deed.

So let’s do this. Let’s make getting a proper amount of sleep a priority. You may need to plan ahead, make some adjustments in your schedule but do what you can to get 7 hours of sleep each and every night for one week.
